Marianne began her career following her graduation in 2017 from the University of Sunderland with a first-class degree in Events Management (BA), during which she found a passion for marketing.
Since then, Marianne has worked within the professional services and maritime sectors, working in-house at a Newcastle-based commercial law firm and a leading UK deep-sea port. In this time, she has managed a number of large-scale campaigns and events within both the professional services industry and the renewables, logistics and maritime innovation spaces.
As Account Manager, Marianne works closely with her clients and as their outsourced marketing partner, both alongside existing marketing teams and for firms without any internal marketing resources. She understands their business goals and provides marketing support to help achieve them. She enjoys spending time getting to really know our clients, their customers and their culture and translating that into successful marketing strategies; there’s nothing better than seeing the results of a great campaign!
Marianne is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (ACIM) and completed her Level 6 Diplomas in Professional Marketing and Professional Digital Marketing with distinction in April 2021.
Marianne’s key skills include development and implementation of marketing and communications strategies for organisations: including event management; social media management; PR; internal communications; and content creation. She also has a number of years’ experience communicating and liaising with and key internal and external stakeholders including C-suite, board level, and local and national government departments.
In her spare time Marianne loves to travel and explore new places both internationally and around the local area – her happy place is sitting in a piazza with an espresso (or a spritz) and people watching. She is a bit of a foodie (eating, not cooking) and loves nothing better than discovering a new ‘favourite’ dish! Marianne is also a proud Aunty to seven ‘niecephews’ (nieces and nephews), who she loves to lead astray!
