Social Media Coordinator

Job Type: Full/Part-time and flexible working considered

Location: FULLY REMOTE/HOME WORKING with regular meetings in Newcastle

Salary: £19,000 - £22,000 (dependent on experience)

Reports to: Head of Marketing Operations

This is a fully remote/working-from-home role for candidates who wish to work either full or part-time, flexible working hours are also considered.

The role

As part of our ongoing growth plans, we have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, technically able, experienced, and committed individual to join us and build an exciting career and future in a rapidly evolving sector. Working closely with our Head of Marketing Operations, Account Managers and Director, the role will include:

  • Social media account management
  • Setting up and managing business social media accounts - Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn,
    YouTube, Instagram & TikTok
  • Developing and maintaining social media profiles for clients
  • Creating and maintaining social media calendars for clients
  • Working with colleagues to develop strategic social media campaigns
  • Creating engaging, brand-consistent content with the correct tone of voice for the client’s target audience
  • Scheduling posts
  • Building followers and increasing engagement across all our client’s social media platforms
  • Community management - responding to comments and interaction on accounts
  • Assisting with the management of paid social media campaigns
  • Client updates and reporting
  • Integration with other media including video, animations, podcasts etc
  • Using metrics and analytics tools to update clients and make any necessary adjustments to campaigns

Technical

  • Experience in the use of social media management tools would be advantageous
  • Knowledge and experience in using design and social media marketing tools such as Canva, Buffer etc
  • Experience in graphic design software, for example, Adobe creative cloud for social media content and wider marketing materials

Preferred experience:

  • Social Media: 2 years (Academic experience will be considered for graduates)
  • Marketing/PR: 2 years (Academic experience will be considered for graduates)
  • Marketing/Digital Marketing/Media related Degree – although given our niche sectors, we are keen to hear from candidates with professional services/healthcare related qualifications with an interest/experience in digital marketing
  • Willingness to work towards CIM Membership/Qualification, or equivalent or working towards similar post-graduate qualifications
  • Personal digital marketing experience (blogging, social media etc.)

Given our niche client sectors, we are also keen to hear from candidates with a background in law/financial services/accountancy/healthcare with an interest in/experience in digital marketing.
